Welcome to the Marketing page, your go-to resource for promoting your event at The Ford.
In partnership, LA Phil will work with you and your team to put together a plan for how to reach your core audiences, and help identify ways to expand. Here, you’ll find tools, tips, and templates to help put together a plan and outline deadlines for yourself to ensure the best outcome.
As part of professional development and a program requirement you will need to attend Marketing Orientation In person, or send a representative, and provide some documentation before those meetings.
Please note you cannot announce your show or have any public promotion until the season is announced.
General Marketing Expectations
The LA Phil at The Ford provides comprehensive support to increase visibility for both The Ford and its season, including:
A press release featuring your event at the time of announcement.
Development of season artwork for announcement and on-sale.
Digital and radio advertisements promoting the full season.
Email newsletters reaching 17,000 subscribers.
Social media marketing and advertising.
A dedicated event webpage on TheFord.com.
Placement on The Ford’s electronic marquee, visible to 1.9 million cars weekly.
Flyer templates and branding strips.
Consultations with The Ford's marketing staff to strategize and plan your event's marketing and PR campaign.
Partners are expected to contribute by:
Creating a targeted grassroots marketing plan for your show.
Providing high-quality event photos.
Designing and distributing event flyers and show programs, if needed.
Working closely with The Ford marketing staff to execute your marketing plan.
Assigning a publicist or team member to:
Create and share a press release for your event.
Coordinate media, photographers, and/or camera crews at your event.
Building a Marketing Plan
We know that building a marketing plan can be take time, thoughtful considerations, and brainstorm. This is an essential piece to creating a working plan that we will all follow this summer. To support you in creating a plan, please reference the following schedule, which includes key dates for The Ford and LA Phil’s season announcement, presale, and on-sale timeline:
MAR 13: Programming and artist assets due
APR 30: Routing of your event detail page and artist page on TheFord.com begins
MAY 6: Routing of your event detail page and artist page on TheFord.com ends
MAY 13: The Ford Season Announcement & CYO on sale
Create-your-own series of 3 or more shows to purchase tickets before the general public.
MAY 16: Single ticket presales begin to LA Phil databases, Fan Clubs, and other various presales
MAY 20: Single tickets on sale
