First off, you may spot one of our LAPA House Photographers or a talented young creative from one of our Community Residencies at The Ford, Las Fotos Project snapping photos during your event. These photographers are here to document the energy and vibrancy of the evening, capturing the spirit of The Ford and the community it serves. And don’t worry—any photos they take will be sent to you for approval before being used in promotional materials.

Want to Capture Content at The Ford before your show?

We're here for it- but there are a few things to keep in mind:

• Waiver Wonder: Just like performance media, non-performance shoots at The Ford (like promo or content creation) also require a fully executed waiver. It’s quick, easy, and helps us keep everything in check.

• The Stage is Their Domain: The stage falls under Crew-Union jurisdiction, so using it for photos or videos means activating the crew heads. This could come with buyout fees (and maybe other costs), depending on what you have in mind. 

• Check the Calendar: Availability is key! We’ll need to make sure your desired date fits into The Ford’s busy schedule. 

Adhering to The Ford’s Media guidelines ensures a successful and respectful media capture experience that benefits artists, audiences, and media professionals alike. Always maintain open communication with the venue staff and artists to address any specific needs or concerns. Let’s make sure the memories of your night live on through photos, videos, and—most importantly—the stories your audience takes home.

Plan on capturing Photos and Film of your show?

• Waiver First, Snap Later: All media capturing requires a fully executed Archival/Promotional Media Waiver for each of you or your Artist’s photographer and/or videographer. The Ford is a proud Union house, which means there are specific guidelines we follow to respect our hardworking crew and Union policies. This ensures everyone’s on the same page and keeps things running smoothly, as well as allowing access to/use of assets captured by your team and/or LAPA and/or Las Fotos.

• Stay in the Zone: We’ve got designated areas for capturing the action without blocking the view or distracting the audience. Any photographers and videographers must be credentialed and move in tandem with a LAPA Media Escort at all times during the performance. Flash photography? Intrusive setups? Let’s leave that out—it’s all about preserving the ambiance.

• Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: And don’t forget, we’re here to help! If you’re bringing in your own photographer or videographer, our team will coordinate to make sure everyone’s in the loop and ready to roll and make sure everything fits seamlessly with the event, our policies and venue flow.
